The Greater Cleveland Dance Community is using our Gift of Dance to Support each other on so many levels. Save A Life Save A Starr 2013 Saturday, July 27, 2013 CJ Starr is a good friend, an avid collector & dancer. He has leukemia. No one in his family is a match for a life-saving bone marrow transplant. Due to the critical shortage of minority and mixed ethnicity donors, his search is especially difficult. It takes about 10 minutes to register and give a small mouth cheek sample. No blood is collected. Please sign up today. Adding more diverse members increases the likelihood to give patients like CJ hope. GET INVOLVED... Each day thousands of people with blood cancers like leukemia ,lymphoma, sickle-cell need a life-saving bone marrow transplant. Sadly, many patients awaiting a transplant don't have a donor in their family . The "Be the Match" program is a national registry, which, for over 25 years, has matched thousands of patients with donors to receive the transplants they need. CJ's friends and the support of Be the Match donor program will have a booth and are holding a bone Marrow drive on Saturday , July 27, 2013 at the 10th anniversary , Family Unity in the Park Concert & Fireworks Show at Luke Easter Park of 3090 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Cleveland, OH 44104. In conjunction with Be The Match National Bone Marrow Registry we will be holding a bone marrow drive. C.J. has asked that we help others in every way that we can. That means bringing awareness as well as getting people on the National Bone Marrow Registry. We ask that you honor C.J.'s selfless wishes and come out to join the registry.
